Hoping your days
are filled with true friends, close family, and precious
memories. May you have peace this Christmas and be guided by the
strength of the Lord in the coming year.
Thank you to all
who helped with the Greenberg Train and Toy Show. A big thank
you to John Weimer for the track plan he made for our display.
We had four trains and a street car running all at the same
time. Our display received a lot of compliments. Seeing all
the little kids sitting on the floor watching the trains, some
coming back two and three time just to watch them, was
memorable. Any of our members who didnít make it out to
Monroeville for the show, (Please see the photos of our
display.) should know we had a very good show. We hope that
the Greenberg people will have the club back again in the
Jim Hoover of East Brady, Pa. Jim is a new member who joined at
the Greenberg Train show. Please take a minute to say Hi to Jim
and welcome him to the club.
Our next event
is the Christmas party Saturday, December 7, 2019, at Palmieriís
Restaurant, 951 Old Frankstown Road Plum, PA, 15239. Cocktails
and appetizers begin at 6:00 PM and the dinner buffet begins at
7:00 PM. I hope all our members can make it! Reservations are
required by December 2, 2019. Please take a minute at the
Christmas party to say thanks to Clark Kemmerer and Alice Angelo
for all their work they have done making the arrangements for

This year at the
Christmas party we have the following members receiving pins:
five year pins for Bob & Carol Gettemy and Sandy Hubert Pyle;
ten year pins for Don & Debra Goodwin; fifteen year pins for
Bill & Jill Fallecker, John & Sandra Wiggins, and J. D. Wissel.
I am very happy to report that we have five members who will
receive twenty-five year pins: Bill Malick, Bill Patterson,
Martin Paiguta, Jack Pyle, and Larry Stecki. Congratulations to
you all and thank you for being members of the PGRS.
River, Rail & Transportation Museum in Brownsville, Pa, will
have an open house for the holiday. At this time they donít have
a schedule, but as soon as we get it weíll pass in on to the

Fort Pitt Division of the Train Collectors Association for their
donation of $100 in recognition of the PGRS layout that we did
at their spring show at the Pittsburgh Masonic Shrine, Cheswick.
The TCA said they were most impressed and appreciative of the
layout. Again thank you to Fort Pitt Division's recognition of

called and gave an update on Al. He has been moved to Wexford
House Healthcare Center, 9850 Old Perry Highway, Wexford, Pa,
15090-9311. They are hoping the healthcare center will be able
to work more with Al on his rehabilitation. Shirley said they
miss everybody and thank everyone for the cards, and wish
everyone a Merry Christmas. She said Al talks about the club and
his trains all the time. Please keep Al and Shirley in your
prayers this holiday season.
As the end of
another year is coming weíre starting to look for ideas, new and
old, and for members who would like to volunteer to host one of
the monthly meetings. If you have a special talent, and would
like to share it with the group, or need help with your layout,
please let me know.
