Before you dive in and purchase a printer learn Sketchup!
| If you are considering purchasing a 3D printer you should give
some thought to what you will be printing. While there are
many, many cool & worthwhile "things" available for free download
you are sure to want to edit them and/or create your own things. SketchUp is a free program that you can use to make 3D things. Download it here: http://www.sketchup.com/download Be sure to choose "I plan on using it for personal projects" and download "SketchUp Make"
