January 25,
2020 PGRS Planning Meeting Minutes
Carnegie United Methodist Church
Keith Baggus, President,
opened the meeting at 1:05.
Dave Bodnar made a
presentation on the use of a laser cutter and explained some
electronics. He reminded us of the Mister Roger's Trolley at
Children's Hospital and Mt. Lebanon Library and how he built the
trolley using the laser cutter.
Keith has reported PGRS has
been invited to the Carnegie Science Center again next year.
Patti, who represents the Carnegie Science Center, loved our
display.
Lori Rehtorik and Dan Cinowalt
have volunteered to take over recording the minutes of the
meetings. There will be some months they will be unable to make
the meetings, and someone else will be assigned the task. Thank
you to Alycefaye for all the years that she recorded the minutes
of all the meetings.
A motion was made and passed
to purchase two engines from Dan Cinowalt, a Climax and a Shay
(Bachmann), to the club in the amount of $300.00.
Gene and Caryll Linck have
volunteered to arrange the Christmas Party in early December
depending on availability of the planned locale. Carol Gettemy
had suggested that an afternoon party should be considered and
it was well received by the membership.
The calendar was set for known
upcoming shows.
The calendar also will show who has volunteered to host PGRS
meetings. There will be no February meeting.
The meeting was adjourned at
3:15.
Respectfully Submitted,
Lori Rehtorik
