Keith Baggus
opened the meeting at 1:35 in Bob and Carol Gettemy’s home. Joe
Welling brought his track cleaning engine, John Weimer brought a
transformer and the club worked on the Gettemy’s railroad, getting
it ready for the season before the meeting
Fayette Co. Train
Days will be Saturday May 13th. We will be at the
Monongahela Rail and Transportation Museum from 12 to 4. Burt
Mangold, Tina and John Weimer and Keith Baggus have signed up to
help. More members helping would be appreciated. Call Keith at
412-276-1236 volunteer. (The layout is already set up) We will be
selling a chance on ONE “John Deer Train” at this show AND
the National Road Show (also called The Pike Festival) on May
19-20-21. The one winner will be drawn at the end of the show on the
21st. More volunteers are needed for Sat. 20th.
The show time is 12-4.

Tina and John
gave a report on the York show and said they will be going to the
Tulsa, Oklahoma National show in July. They brought back goodies for
those who gave them money and a list. Lee Brandes has

Bruce Watkins
said that the “Big Train Operators” will be having a G-scale show in
Buffalo, NY, June 19-24. $35/year to join the group. Contact Bruce

Keith had attended a meeting in Pittsburgh with the” Train
Collectors Association” at the Wyndam Grand Hotel earlier that day.
They reported that a spot (24’ X 24’) in the Commonwealth Room on
the lobby floor will be for our layout. Set up will be announced
shortly. The show runs from June 24 to July 2. Our time at the show
will be from Wed. June 28 – Sat. July 1. The show will be open from
10 – 4 daily. We will need to be set up and be ready by 2:00 Wed.

Help is NEEDED…Pack up will be Sat. just after the close of the day
@ 4:00. All members must have their name tags on to enter the TCA
show. Public days are Friday and Saturday. The show starts June 24,
if you want to take part in all the trips and events you must be a
member of the TCA. A trial membership for 6 months: see the TCA web
page for details. A $15 trial membership will enable you to only get
into the Train Marketplace on Fri. & Sat. with a $5 coupon it
becomes $10. See the attached flyer. A sign-up sheet will be at the
two Brownsville shows or you can contact Keith by phone 412-276-1236

A pack up crew has been appointed for Brownsville and a picture will
be taken of each area of the layout. Those volunteering to set up at
the convention will have little or no problems, hopefully, with the
aid of the picture. Remember…a club is only as good as its
volunteers. Parking= Steeler’s stadium then take the (free) “T” or
S. Hills Village take “T” or Station Sq. & “T” to the Point.
