Pittsburgh Garden Railway Society, Minutes for July 16, 2016

President Keith Baggus called the meeting to order @ 2:30. (27 members were present)

Keith informed the group that the “Rails into the Mountains of West Virginia” bus trip is completely sold out. A waiting list for cancellation has been set up.

President Baggus is in contact with T.C.A. and will be meeting them in the coming months.

John and Tina Weimer have been at work inventorying the clubs trailer’s contents. They have spent numerous days in Brownsville completing the job. At the same time, John has installed all new electronics to run the Club’s trains and he reconfigured the wooden box that holds the for mentioned items.  John can show you how to operate the new 4 track controllers, just ask.

We have a new Pennsylvania Train for the raffle @ Brownsville’s “National Pike Steam Show” on August 12, 13 & 14. Help is needed to work the show. So far only TWO people have signed up for Sat. and five signed for Sunday. We will need more help…let Keith know if you can help with the show. Show time are 10 – 4 each day.

Plans for the Christmas Party @ Jaden’s Catering were discussed. Jackie Magri volunteered to handle the food selections. Help with the party was requested and Al & Shirley Hartman volunteered, Bob & Carol Gettemy said they would make the favors.

Our host for this meeting, Bill Patterson was magnanimous. From the refreshments and before dinner treats to the great meal, his two daughters and son couldn’t have been more gracious. The generosity of his gift of all the buildings on his R.R. as well of two boxes of people to the P.G.R.S. was overwhelming. Many members took advantage of the price reduction on all of his rolling stock and left the meeting with their arms full. Thank you again for hosting the great meeting!!!!

A motion was made @ 3:40 by Al Hartman and seconded by John Weimer to adjourn the meeting.

P.S.

I brought one building home from the meeting to renovate it for the club BUT there were extra parts that go to another building. See Picture. I’ll bring them to Brownsville Show.
