August 20, 2022 12pm
The Annual Family Picnic was hosted by
the officers and a big thank you to Clark Kemmerer and Alice

dogs and hamburgers were served with an array of sides.

we ate then called the meeting to order.
Tina reminded us of the upcoming train
ride on the "Potomac Eagle" for Friday, October 21, 149 Eagle
Drive Romney, West Virginia. The excursion is a three hour trip
(1-4PM) that goes in search of bald eagles down a remote stretch
of the Potomac River, southbound through the Trough to Sycamore
Bridge and back. It is approximately thirty-five miles round
trip. There is no layover; passengers stay on-board. The
standard diner receives a boxed lunch, advanced reservations are
required, and your entree must be chosen at the time of
reservation. You have four selections for the boxed luncheon,
Some of our members may want to stay in
Cumberland and ride the Western Maryland Scenic Railroad the
next day, Saturday the 22nd,
If you want to spend the night, a
suggestion is the Sleep Inn & Suites, Cumberland-LaVale,

Tina also reminded us we are
responsible for making all reservations. The site is in previous
newsletter for the train.
