Building a structure, rolling stock or locomotive is something that too many of us don't consider as an option.  There are times, however, when building something from scratch is the only option.  This was the case recently when I decided that the new train layout that we are planning for Children's Hospital needed a Mr. Rogers Trolley.

These were once available in G-scale and may be produced again some day but for now scratch building Mr. Rogers Trolley was the only option that I had.  Have a look at the building process that I used.

The second part of this project, lighting the trolley, is detailed here.  Make sure you take note of an interesting way of modifying LEDs that is described.
